Target 100 KB
Compress an image to 100 KB
Exam and recruitment portals ask for 100 KB and a pixel size in the same sentence. Fill in both rows of controls below and the file is checked against both in one pass.

The exam-portal size
One hundred kilobytes is the classic limit for photographs and signatures on job applications and competitive-examination portals. Those forms usually specify the file size and the pixel dimensions together, and reject the upload if either one is out.
The second row of controls exists for that. Set the pixel box the form asks for, keep 100 KB as the size, and both constraints are met in one pass: dimensions first, then compression down to the limit.
Photograph and signature
These portals almost always want two separate files with different rules. A useful habit:
- The photograph. A head-and-shoulders crop on a plain background. Crop tightly first: a full-body shot spends the whole byte budget on the room behind you.
- The signature. Scanned or photographed on white paper. Being almost flat white, it compresses to very little and lands well under the limit.
Both come out as JPEG here, which is what those forms expect. If yours demands a specific pixel size as well, put it in the pixel fields before dropping the file.
